An Evening at the Park | Headshot Sessions with VIU Student Teachers

This fall I got to spend a gorgeous evening in Cowichan Bay doing some headshots for seven of the most incredible individuals.

My friend Jacqueline was in the midst of finishing up the Education program at Vancouver Island University and asked if I would be willing to take some photos of her and her classmates for their business cards and profiles.

As a teacher myself, I jumped at the opportunity. I love giving back to the community in any way that I can and being able to offer my time to a group of people training to help our children was, in my opinion, a gift.

Not only did I get to spend the evening chatting with and getting to know these selfless and wonderful individuals, I also developed a pool of talented teachers that I will hopefully be able to call on when I need a Teacher on Call! ;-)

I shot a little bit of film, of course, and lots of digital and I just love how the images turned out. We had loads of laughs and I even got to sneak in a few family shots too! It was a truly wonderful way to spend time and I wish everyone joy and success in their new careers as teachers!
